Higher Education and Training Deputy Minister, Dr Mimmy Gondwe, has encouraged learners to look at the Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) colleges for a worthwhile and practical option for advancing their careers.
The Deputy Minister was talking throughout an oversight visit into the post-school education and education (PSET) institutions while in the Western Cape this week.
Gondwe described the TVET colleges as vital for job creation and youth skills development while in the nation.
The Deputy Minister frequented the West Coast College Vredenburg Campus, and the Cape Peninsula {University of Technological innovation (CPUT) Bellville Campus in Cape Town.
Gondwe's visits aimed toward examining the state of readiness of larger education institutions across the nation, forward of the 2025 educational year.
Throughout the visit at West Coast College, she inspired learners to choose pleasure in attaining artisan abilities as they offer excellent entrepreneurship possibilities.
"I'm very encouraged by what I'm seeing at TVET colleges, I believe they are the future of this country.
